【Mission Statement】

バスケットボールファンの皆さま。

 本日2025年8月30日、晴れて新プラットフォームサービス『The Playmaker』を公開いたしました。8月1日にオープン準備を告知させて頂いて以降、たくさんの反響をいただき非常に身が引き締まる思いでした。長らくお待たせいたしましたが、新たなチームメンバーや協力者の方々のお力添えもあり、ついに皆さまにお披露目することができました。

これまではバスケットボールアナリスト/解説者として、中継では『今日もどこかで初めてバスケットボールを観ている子供がいる』こと、『1日1人バスケットボールファンを作ること』をモットーに臨んできました。その中で考えていたのは、自分は何を伝えたいのか、何をもってバスケットボール文化の醸成にどうやって寄与できるのか、バスケットボール観戦が人々の人生を豊かにするとはどういう事なのか、という事でした。試行錯誤の連続でしたが、間違いなく言えることは、自分の活動を支えて下さる皆さまの知的好奇心を刺激することが出来たからこそ、試合解説やイベント登壇など、多くの機会を与えて頂いたということです。

だからこそ、これからも皆さまの知的好奇心を刺激し、バスケットボールにおける共通言語を確立する活動を通じて日本におけるバスケットボール観戦力の向上こそが、佐々木クリスにとって不変のミッションであり続けると信じています。これからはこれまでの活動に加えて、この『The Playmaker』を新たに自分とコミュニティ全体のプラットフォームとすることで、自分1人では実現できないミッション達成へのスピードを加速します。今、そんな期待感と希望に溢れています。一緒に『1日1人バスケットボール沼に』バスケットボールファンをお誘いしていきましょう。

 『The Playmaker』は、バスケットボールニュースのキュレーションや観戦体験を豊かにするコラムを提供するだけではなく、皆さまと共に作り、For the Fans, by the Fansという理念をたずさえ成長し続けるプラットフォームでありたいと思っています。これから説明させていただく理念は、今後も揺るがない信念として大切にしながら、コンテンツやサービス内容はその時のニーズに合わせて変化・拡大もしながら皆さまに満足いただけるプラットフォームとして継続的に取り組む所存です。どうぞ皆さま温かいご支援と末長いお付き合いをよろしくお願いいたします。

9月1日から月額1ドルというコミュニティプラン加入者向けサービスを開始します。こちらはEmailにて皆さまのメールボックスに直接コンテンツをお届けするサービスです。1日のスタート、通勤や通学時にトピックスに目を通して頂くことでNBAの基本情報が得られるとともに、サービスの継続的な運営をサポートしていただけます。

【将来的なコンテンツ】

・外部プロフェッショナルによるコラムの掲載 （宮地陽子さん、大西玲央さん)

・The PlaymakerでYouTube 佐々木クリス チャンネルの動画を先行視聴。限定動画の作成と配信も行う予定です。

Dear basketball fans,

Today, August 30, 2025, we’re proud to officially launch The Playmaker. Since announcing our plans back on August 1, the response has been overwhelming. That support has kept us motivated, and with the help of new team members and partners, we’re thrilled to finally bring this platform to life.

As a basketball analyst and commentator, I’ve always worked with two simple mottos: “Somewhere today, a child is watching basketball for the first time” and “Create one new basketball fan every day.” Those ideas have guided me, but they’ve also forced me to ask difficult questions: What do I really want to share? How can I contribute to the growth of basketball culture? What does it mean for watching basketball to enrich people’s lives?

The answers didn’t come easily. But one thing is clear: this journey has only been possible because of you—the fans whose curiosity and passion have inspired me every step of the way.

Moving forward, my mission remains the same: to spark curiosity, to build a shared language of basketball, and to raise the level of basketball viewing in Japan. With The Playmaker as a community-driven platform, I believe we can go further and faster than one person ever could alone. I’m filled with hope and excitement for what lies ahead.

Let’s keep building this together—and invite more fans to fall in love with the game, one day and one person at a time.
